Here's a collection of farm fresh recipes straight from the Naber dinner table!



Strawberries

Strawberry Squares

You will need:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 cup fresh strawberries
1- 3 ounce package strawberry Jello
1 cup boiling water
1/2 lb. marshmallows
1/2 cup milk
1 cup whipping cream or 2 packages Dream Whip, whipped

1. Mix crumbs, sugar and margarine. Press in bottom of 9 x9 pan. Chill.
2. Sprinkle 2 Tbsp. sugar over fresh strawberries and let stand about 1/2 hour.
3. Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Drain berries, reserve juice and add enough water to make 1 cup of liquid,add to Jello mixture.
Chill until partially set.
4. Combine marshmallows and milk, heat until melted. Cool, then fold in whipped cream.
5. Add berries to Jello, then layer marshmallow mix, strawberry mix and repeat layers, ending with strawberry layer on top.
6. Chill 2-3 hours before serving.

Strawberry Layer Dessert


You will need:

Strawberry Breakfast Sauce (pancake and waffle syrup)


You will need:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup orange juice
6 cups sliced fresh strawberries
8-10 drops red food coloring, (optional)

1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Stir in orange juice, bring to boil over medium heat
2. Add strawberries, return to boil.
3. Cook and stir for 2 minutes and add food coloring if desired.
Yields 3 1/2 cups.

Fresh Strawberry Pie


You will need:
1 - 9" baked pastry shell
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp. Real lemon juice
1 small package strawberry gelatin
1 quart fresh cleaned, hulled strawberries

1. In medium sauce pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cook and stir until mix is slightly thick and clear- about 4-5 minutes.
2. Add gelatin to mixture and stir until dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
3. Stir fresh strawberries into mixture and turn into pie shell.
4. Chill 4 hours before serving.

Zucchini

Chocolate Zucchini Bundt Cake


4 eggs
2 cups grated zucchini
3/4 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla
One 3ounce package of instant chocolate pudding
1 chocolate cake mix
1 1/2 tsp instant coffee

Mix ingredients for 10 minutes and pour into greased bundt cake pan. Bake at 325 fir one hour. Cool and serve as desired.

Mom's Zucchini Cake


1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tbs vanilla
1/2 cup raisins
4 eggs
1 tbs cinnamon
2 cups grated zucchini
1/2 cup walnuts

Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, cinnamon, and vanilla together for two minutes or until blended. Fold in remaining ingredients. Bake in a greased 10 inch tube pan for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool 15 to 20 minutes while inverted onto a serving dish. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with cool whip.

Zucchini Pistachio Cake


4 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cups grated zucchini
1 yellow cake mix
1 pkg instant pistachio pudding
3/4 nuts

Mix and bake in a 9 by 13 pan at 350. Cool and top with two cups of cool whip and instant pistachio pudding.

Chocolate Zucchini Bars


1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup oleo
2 1/2 cups grated zucchini
1/2 tsp cinnamon or vanilla
1 tsp soda
2 cups flour
2 tbs cocoa

Mix and put in a 9 by 13 pan. Sprinkle on top 1 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup nuts, 2 tbs sugar. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes.

Butterscotch Zucchini Bars


3/4 cup oleo
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tbs vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tbs baking powder
2 cups chopped zucchini
1 cup butterscotch chips
3/4 cups walnuts

Combine oleo and sugars, and then add eggs and vanilla. Mix other dry ingredients together then slowly add to oleo mixture. Mix well. Stir in zucchini, butterscotch chips, and nuts. Bake in a greased 15 by 10 inch pan 2 inches deep. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool and frost.

Cream Cheese Frosting


8 ounces soften cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbs vanilla

Combine until smooth.
